Upon graduating from Warwick University UK, Joelle was appointed by Bentley Music Sdn Bhd to manage and lead advertising, marketing, and PR activities, company functions, concerts, and music clinics.
In 2003 Joelle was invited by Ann Perreau as ‘Creative Specialist Music Program Trainer’ (Majoring in Piano & Music Appreciation) at Ann Perreau’s Music Studio. During this time she was active as a licensed Musikgarten trainer and through her recommendation, Musikgarten was implemented at the Bentley Music Academy in Mutiara Damansara.
Joelle was then invited to re-join Bentley Music Sdn Bhd, this time to launch and market the 'Rolls Royce of Pianos', Steinway & Sons, in the Malaysia. The official launch of Steinway & Sons in November 2009 showcased the child prodigy, Abigail Sin, with her lecturer, Head of Piano at Yong Siew Toh Conservatoire, Mr Thomas Hecht, and later introduced Adam Gyorgy, a Steinway Piano Artiste to Malaysia.
Instrumental in spearheading Bentley Auditorium for in-house activities and open rentals to public; Joelle oversees key music events to corporate functions, workshops and presentations, for example involving world-renowned musicians, such as Steve Vai, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Dennis Chambers, and Paul Gilbert.
2010 saw the birth of Bentley Music Academy at Wisma Bentley Mutiara Damansara; in which Joelle was pivotal in synergising potential team members to the company.
Joelle became involved as a volunteer in 2012 as a teacher at Emmanuel Care Centre (Learning Centre for Special Needs Children) and subsequently became a member of Persatuan Kebajikan Emmanuel. Her song entitled 'Touch' composed for the special needs children was requested by World Vision and sung by Francesca Peters during World Fasting Week under the hunger awareness campaign event graced by Tun Dr. Mahatir bin Mohammad and family.
Keeping the same passion alive, she's seen through the multi challenges presented at the Bentley Music Academy since the past couple of years, acting largely as the bridge between management, musicians, and clients.
Owwei Chow, a PhD holder from Universiti Putra Malaysia, is actively engaged in academic researches that specialise in cultural musicology. He has contributed numerous articles in academic journals and publications, as his studies range from Buddhism-related music to online media and social identity in local music movement. Having previously been a newspaper columnist, he frequently switches roles as administrator, editor, translator, photographer, graphic designer and cultural researcher along his eclectic and multi-disciplinary career.
Chow has vast interests in subjects related to music, humanity, the science of knowledge, as well as in the organisational management in music business.
Keat Shuang graduated from University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2013 with Bachelor Music of Performance. With her interest and passion in music, she joined the EST Opera Chorus, currently known as the Kuala Lumpur City Opera Chorus (KLCO), with whom she performed numerous concerts and productions among them, 'The Earth Hour' (2013), Bizet's, 'Carmen' (2013), 'Voices & Wind's – The Coronation Mass (2014), Donizetti's, 'L'Elisir d'amore' (2014), KLCO Fundraising Concert (2015) and Mozart's, 'The Magic Flute' (2017).
In 2014, she had the opportunity to work as a research assistant in UPM under Sciendfund Project, “Characteristics of National Music of Malaysia: Formal Analysis and Local Perceptions on Compositions Produced by Malaysian Composers” (Dr Chan Cheong Jan).
Shunag joined Bentley Music Academy in January 2015 as Operation Assistant Manager where, along with the day to day running of BMA, has been actively involved with the numerous events held there among them the 3rd Steinway Regional Finals Asia Pacific 2016 acting as Stage Manager.
Nik Dayana is a graduate of Bachelor in Education (Hons) (TESL) from Management and Science University.
She was a member of the main committee for her course faculty, School of Education and Social Sciences (SESS) as the Secretary for two consecutive years (2013 – 2015). Throughout the two years, she was involved in the organisation of various university projects, fairs, competitions, as well as performances.
Nik was also involved as the Art Director for a theatre production of ‘Quest of the Paragon’ for her course in early 2015. In 2016, she was involved in various performances for internal events at SMK Kampong Jawa where she worked as an intern. In June 2016, a dance group which Nik co-led won 15th place out of more than 50 competing groups competing from across Malaysia.
Nik joined Bentley Music Academy as Administrator Assistant in September 2016. She has been a part of the administration team since then playing a vital role in the day to day running of Malaysia’s largest music school.
