Conductor’s Circle

The Conductor’s Circle is a comprehensive training program in the art and technique of conducting, led by our Director of Academic and Artistic Development, Kevin Field.

Whether you choose to be a Participant or Observer, The Conductor’s Circle (TCC) is open to beginners, practitioners and hobbyists. Meeting eight times per term, attendees will study repertoire ranging from classical through to contemporary orchestral music.

With or without a baton, TCC is based on the Toscanini-Barzin method; it offer insights & advice for score study, rehearsal technique and orchestral psychology.

Course accompanists, ensembles and soloists are present across the year with selected students having the opportunity to work with designated BMA ensembles.
